ORIGINAL CISO FURNISHED NVA CANTEEN COVER

I found this on ebay and I cant pass them up when I see them, these were made by Ben Baker with CISO for use by the early SOG recon teams. CISO made NVA uniforms, web gear, mag pouches and helmets and rucks sacks to look like NVA when SOG was going into Laos and Cambodia and enemy territory in Vietnam. The idea was at a glance the recon team looked like a NVA unit and giving time so the team to react to being spotted

OUTSTANDING FIND AT THE ALAMO

I found this original DUI for the phoenix program in Vietnam at the Alamo military store by accident. I was looking thru some insignia that one of the owners had bought at auction.
This is the original. Right as rain and very rare

WITH OUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE RAREST ITEMS I HAVE EVER CAME ACROSS

Original pre 1964 Death From Above Special Forces playing cards ( Death cards), complete deck with jokers, original box. Before this I have only found two death cards ever. never a whole deck

I FOUND THIS DECK ON JOHN O'CONNER'S WEB SITE

I felt I needed to keep this deck together and not let some one purchase it and sell off the cards individually. Eeach card sells for over 100 dollars and the ace of spades and the jokers sell for three times that. These belong in a museum. I read the story of these years ago and one of the soldiers relations worked for the card factory and ordered an unknown amount. I know of no other complete decks out there, If you have one let me know. I had heard that years ago there were 10 decks brought back and sold to collectors, The solders used them for playing cards and as Death Cards on KIA NVA and VC

RARE SET OF CISO BLACK PJ'S

This set is original and never unfolded, this type of CISO blacks did not hold up very well and were not issued for a long period. Moisture had a very bad effect on the cloth, it almost fell apart, set consists of on shirt and two pair of pants marked medium

VERY RARE GROUP

Outstanding and very rare items from Vietnam special f0rces vet , the uniform is extremely rare, i believe it was only produced for 6 months and then discontinued, special forces experimental light weight BDU, shirt and pants, shirt is direct embroidered with (captain's bars) (the south Vietnamese senior jump wings ), (CIB), and (us master jump wings). The shoulder insignia is all early 1960's cut edge. The rifle was a captured item that was used as a presentation piece, it is a mas 36 /39, rare to be found in Vietnam, the 39 has a grenade site. Gun has also inscription on the butt for the presentation and describes its capture. The items come with two letters to document the items from Jason Hardy.
THE VET AND UNIFORM
Both the uniform and captured weapon were brought back from Vietnam by the vet , in October of 1964, Simon Ecklund was a captain ( 0-3) assigned to the 5th special forces group (ABN) as the xo of b-51 located at Dong Ba thin , later transferred to headquarters company in NA TRANG as the assistant (s-4) officer . He returned to Vietnam in the fall of 68 as a major (0-4) with the 5th special forces group (ABN) on loan to the CIAS (phoenix program ) national training center special activates department at VUNG TAU. During his first tour in 1964 he acquired the light weight uniform top and pants , he rebadged them and wore them on his second tour, if you lift up the collar you can see the captains bars under the majors insignia ,
THE CAPTURED WEAPON
The weapon was presented to captain Ecklan on his first tour by his Vietnamese counterpart , the weapon has a paper label in Vietnamese describing its capture. I will add the information that is on the paper here when i can translate it
Translation of presentation rifle from a good friend in New Caledonia , thank you Thierry

A VERY UNIQUE FIND
RARE COMMERCIAL MAUSER BROOM HANDLE CAPTURED IN CAMBODIA IN MAY OF 1970

Bought from the vet that captured it, with letter and original capture papers . Most broom handles that were captured in Vietnam were Chinese copies are early military mausers used by the Chinese army, most were the 1930 mausers with the mauser banner , this is a pre ww1 mauser , with the rare rubber grips and it functions and the bore is excellent , its assumed that it was brought to Vietnam by a French citizen for protection and later captured and used by the Viet Cong. This is a rare find
