during the war there were only 6 navy seals connected to mack v sog and there recon teams , this is the original  tiger stripe uniform of one of those seals , this a very rare item , obtained from Jason hardy at the dog tag.com

from the desk of Ian Sutherland .

when Ian Sutherland died his relatives gave me a call to come look at what was left of his estate. the curator of the museum at  ft bragg had already removed all of his uniforms for the museum.. left was all his papers , items from his book, and other personal items. all items are now in other noted collections except this piece. it was on his desk , I could not part with it , it does not have much monetary value but it is a piece of art to me and I really liked it .

I was contacted by the artist who made this piece , it was made around 1999 and given to Ian Sutherland as a gift, the artist said he made two on these as gifts , one for Ian and one for John Greco, its unknown if John received his item, The artist is a welder who is a SOG collector in Sweden , his name is Martin Larsen , thank you Martin .

these came from a VERY SPECIAL friend of mine, she was a nurse in nam for several years . she was involved with a special forces sergeant that was on his third tour. she said he was sheep dipped ( CLEAN, NO RECORD OF ) for his missions , he went home before her and left these with her. THE CIB IS ALSO SOMETHING HE LEFT WITH HER, THEY NEVER SAW EACH OTHER AGAIN .

THE TOP IS HIS BAYONET AND THE BOTTOM KNIFE IS A NUGYEN DAN KNIFE , 

the blade of the nguyen Dan in country fighting knife is marked by the owner , he got this knife on his first tour , 65-66. and carried it on all other tours ,

this nguyen Dan knife is a large one and comes with the original sheath , a very sought after knife then and now

the bayonet and sheath are also marked with his name and 5th speical forces group and 65-66 .

Laos captured model 1950 French.

presentation to a special forces vet who was with WHITE STAR - HOT FOOT  in Laos in the early 1960's has a modified us holster as captured

1st SOG team History , by Jason Hardy , it has been signed by  the living SOG vets in the teams that are mentioned in the book along with current pictures of the vets at the special forces association 

MAC V SOG 

French 47-53 jump jacket belongs to 1st Lieutenant Kien Nguyen 

K Nguyen  fought with the French during the first Indochina war  and with the Americans in the second Indochina  he was 0-1 spike team Dakota ,captured in 1967 and released in 1985, 

the book that I will not show has all of his orders and papers , French army papers and jump wing certificate , documents from the vet that had this garment for all these years . he as SOG also . Kien is mentioned in the book SECRET ARMY SECRET WAR .  there is also pictures of Kien and the vet in country , along with all the 5th group orders and documentation . this came from Jason Hardy @ the Dog Tag . I fell honored to have this in my collection , this garment was a gift to the SOG vet when he left Vietnam 

Hot foot/ white star 

special forces bring back , documented , with letters and pictures , vet was a captain in Laos in 1960 - 63 

weapon was a gift from his interpreter , in Laos who obtained this from Dien Bien phu when the Viet minh over ran the base . I wonder who's side the interpreter was on ?

original rubber map , used by Marcus ( BUD) Huston , project 5 -52 - delta , Marcus is outlined in the book Either Zone and listed in who's who of Mac V Sog by Steve Sherman . 

map is dated 1965, these are rare and not often seen , used by special forces and aviators of the period .
